Banana Oat Waffles
Waffles are my go to meal on the weekends. I could probably eat waffles for every meal and be completely happy. This waffle is made with banana, oats and protein powder, and I topped it with maple syrup and fresh berries. It is such a simple batter to whip up, and more nutritious than the store bought mixes.
Banana Oat Waffles
Recipe
Yield: 2 Waffles
Ingredients
1 cup oats
1 ripe banana
1/2 scoop protein powder
1 egg
splash of vanilla
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp baking powder
2 tbsp Greek yogurt
1/2 cup milk of choice
1 tbsp flax meal (optional)
Steps
Blend the oats into a flour. You can do this using a regular blender or food processor.
Mix all the ingredients in the blender until well combined.
Cook in a greased waffle maker on HIGH heat for about 4 minutes. If your waffle is falling apart, try turning the heat up.
Enjoy with your favourite toppings.
